1. Describe the "discovery" of and dramatic increase in the diagnosis of pediatric bipolar disorder, and its relationship the the increasing rates of ADHD and Major Depressive Disorder diagnoses in children.
2. Examine the significant social and pharmacological consequences of medicalizing children's emotional and behavioral problems.
3. Describe the critical psychological interventions that must accompany pharmacological treatment.
